A high-ranking Iraqi security team will soon visit Saudi Arabia to deliver information on terrorist groups in Iraq, reports said Monday.
Saudi daily al-Yom quoted an official Iraqi source as saying the Iraqi team will arrive in Riyadh in the next few days for talks with senior officials at the Interior Ministry.
The team will brief Saudi officials on the terrorist groups in Iraq that are jeopardizing security in the whole Gulf region, the source said.
He said the visit falls within the framework of close cooperation between Iraq and the Saudi kingdom in combating terrorism, including tightening control on the Saudi-Iraqi border to prevent infiltration of Iraq.
