Prisoners kill Kyrgyz MP taken hostage

BISHKEK (Reuters) – A parliamentarian being held hostage in
a Kyrgyz prison died from gunshot wounds on Thursday, the
Justice Ministry said, while local television reported another
two hostages had been killed.

The deputy, Tynychbek Atambayev, was killed after patients
at a prison hospital near the capital Bishkek took him and his
entourage hostage, a spokesman for the Justice Ministry’s
prisons service said.
