Saddam Lawyer Found Dead – Iraqi Police

“The Iraqi Police confirms that they have found the body of a lawyer defending one of the defendants in the trial of Saddam and seven of his aides,” said an urgent screen caption broadcast on Al- Jazeera TV on 21 October.
In a report the previous day Al-Jazeera said: “An Iraqi Interior Ministry source has said that unidentified men abducted Sa’dun Antar al-Janabi from his office in the Al-Sha’b district of Baghdad. Al- Janabi is a defence attorney for one of the defendants in the trial in which [former President] Saddam [Husayn] and seven of his aides stood on Wednesday [ 19 October].”
