Damascus, 31 October: In letters to the heads of Arab and world parliaments, People's Assembly Speaker Mahmud al-Abrash has called for supporting Syria against the foreign pressure it is facing.
The letters included the text of the statement that the People's Assembly issued in response to the report of the international investigation commission into the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafiq al-Hariri.
Al-Abrash said in his letters that Syria is coming under political pressure because it adheres to its just and legitimate rights. He stressed that Syria, under the leadership of President Bashar al-Asad, is interested in the security and stability of the peoples of the region and the world.
