The Duchess of Cornwall’s trip to the United States is costing British taxpayers an estimated $442,000.

The wife of Prince Charles will be landing in the United States Tuesday with a staff of 20 and 50 frocks for their eight-day visit, the Daily Mail reported Monday.

Among her staff are three full-time dressers, a make-up artist and hairdresser.

During their U.S. stay, the royal couple will inaugurate memorial garden in New York for British victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attack on the World Trade Center.

They are also scheduled to dine with President Bush at the White House, meet with San Francisco’s homeless and greet New Orleans’ victims of Hurricane Katrina.
