Iran's Commerce Minister to Visit Bahrain to Attend Joint Commission

Tehran, 26 November: In his first foreign official trip, Iranian Minister of Commerce Mas'ud Mirkazemi will pay a visit to Bahrain to attend the Fifth Session of Iran-Bahrain Joint Commission, to discuss with his Bahraini counterpart the ratifications of the fourth joint commission as well as other issues of mutual interest including the expansion of relations between the two countries, the Persian service of Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA) reported here on Saturday [26 November].
The trade volume between Iran and Bahrain currently stands at about 68,264,000 dollars. Iran's exports to this small Persian Gulf state mainly consist of conglomerate iron ore and iron ore concentrates, undiluted essential oils, rugs and carpets, water, fresh or dried pistachios, fresh apples, watermelons, fresh kiwis and sweets.
Moreover, in addition to signing over 10 memoranda of understanding (MOU), the officials of the two countries have also inked a security pact.
