President Mahmud Ahmadinezhad today threatened to revise the country's peaceful nuclear policy.
Addressing the revolution day rally in Tehran he said: "As a spokesman for the Iranian nation I hereby announce that until now the policy of the Islamic Republic has been based on [the principle] that this technology should be used for peaceful purposes, and for the sake of industry, medicine and economy
. Until now the Islamic Republic has pursued its nuclear effort within the context of the International Atomic Energy Agency and the Non-proliferation Treaty. However, if we see, that despite our respect for these regulations you want to violate the rights of the Iranian people you should understand the Iranian nation will revise its policies."Source: BBC Monitoring Newsfile
