Six Palestinians have been killed in Nablus since this morning. Two IDF [Israel Defence Forces] soldiers were wounded. One of them was very lightly hurt while the other sustained moderate wounds. The second soldier was evacuated to Beilinson Hospital.

Our correspondent Gay Qotev reports that over the past hour, IDF paratroopers have surrounded a building in the Balatah refugee camp in which fugitives are believed to be hiding. When the troops approached the building, two grenades were hurled at them and shots were fired. The soldiers fired back and killed three Palestinians. An assault rifle and grenade launcher were found near the bodies. The Palestinians reported that the dead men belonged to the [Fatah- affiliated] Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades.

Earlier today, the IDF shot an armed Palestinian and two youths who were hurling firebombs at the soldiers. Another Palestinian was wounded.

The security ranger at Moshav Patzael in the Jordan Rift Valley wounded a Palestinian shepherd after the latter attacked him with a club. The Palestinian was wounded in the leg and evacuated to a hospital in Jericho. The ranger sustained bruises to the head.

The IDF is shelling areas in the northern Gaza Strip used as staging points for Qassam rocket attacks in retaliation for the firing of five rockets at the western Negev this morning. This was reported by our correspondent Anat Ben-Said.
