Rebels kill seven civilians in bus attack in Colombia
BOGOTA, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- At least Seven civilians were killed Saturday in rebel attack on a passenger bus in southern Colombia, authorities said.
Insurgents with the rebel Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC)fired several shots at the bus travelling in Caqueta province.
The bus lost control and flipped, and then the rebels opened fire on the passengers and tried to set the vehicle ablaze .
Soldiers arrived the scene quickly and managed to capture three insurgents.
The 18,000-strong FARC is the largest and best equipped rebel force in Colombia.
