The two guards wounded in an attempted suicide bombing at a Saudi oil and gas plant have died of their wounds, the Interior Ministry of Saudi Arabia said.
The attack on the Abqaiq processing facility on Friday was thwarted when guards fired on two explosives-laden cars, causing them to blow up at a security gate about 1.5 kilometers, or one mile, from the main entrance. The guards died on Saturday. Al Qaeda claimed responsibility for the attack, the first on Saudi Arabia's oil infrastructure.
