Kazakhstan Adheres to "One China" Policy - Foreign Ministry

Astana, 4 March: The Kazakh Foreign Ministry announces the immutability of the country's stance that Taiwan is an integral part of China.
The Kazakh Foreign Ministry has circulated the statement in connection with the decision of the Taiwan's authorities to stop the activities of the National Unification Council and the implementation of "the Programme for National Unification".
"Kazakhstan adheres to the immutable position on the Taiwan issue reflected in the treaty on good neighbourliness, friendship and cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the People's Republic of China. We confirm our adherence to the `one China' principle, including the position that the People's Republic of China is the sole legal government which represents the whole of China and that Taiwan is an integral part of Chinese territory," the message says.
