Putin, Bush Discuss Middle East and Iran Nuclear File on the Phone

Moscow, 4 March: In a telephone conversation, Vladimir Putin and US President George Bush have discussed issues of the Middle East settlement and the Iran "nuclear file", the Kremlin press service has said.
"The heads of state discussed the situation with regard to the Middle East settlement in the light of the results of the talks in Moscow with the delegation of the Hamas Palestinian movement. They also exchanged views on the problems of Iran's "nuclear file" taking into account contacts with Iranian representatives in Moscow and Vienna," the press service report said.
The sides agreed to continue coordination on these and other topical issues of the international agenda, also during the forthcoming visit by the Russian foreign minister to Washington.
The two leaders' conversation took place at the initiative of the Russian side, the report said.
