Russian Air Force Commander to Visit South Korea This Week

Seoul, 5 March: Russia's air force chief will make a five-day trip to South Korea this week to hold talks with South Korean military leaders on bilateral cooperation, the South Korean air force said Sunday [5 March]. Russian air force commander Vladimir Mikhaylov will arrive Monday in Seoul and meet with South Korea's air force Chief of Staff Kim Sung-il on Wednesday to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation and promote military exchanges between the two nations, it said.
On Thursday, Mikhaylov is scheduled to pay a courtesy call on other top officials including Defence Minister Yoon Kwang-ung. During the visit, Milkhaylov plans to tour a fighter wing and Kyongju, an ancient Korean capital in the southeastern part of the country, according to the air force.
