Milosevic's Body Flown to Belgrade

The body of former Serbian leader Slobodan Milosevic was flown from to Belgrade Wednesday for burial in his hometown.
Milosevic's son Marko, who was in the Netherlands, to arrange the transfer of his father's body, did not accompany the coffin. Instead, Marko Milosevic flew to Moscow to rejoin his mother before heading to Belgrade.
Hundreds of Milosevic's supporters gathered at Belgrade's airport and along a 12-mile road leading to the capital to watch a motorcade with the coffin.
A number of elderly people wept and threw flowers. Others shouted, Slobodan is our hero.
The coffin is to be placed in a Revolution Museum Thursday. The museum is in the Belgrade residential suburb where Milosevic had his official residence.
Milosevic died of a heart attack Saturday in the detention center at The Hague U.N. tribunal where he was standing trial accused of genocide and war crimes in the former Yugoslavia in the 1991-95 period.
Funeral services are set for Saturday in Pozarevac.
