Iran, Pakistan and India Agree on New Round of Pipeline Talks

Islamabad, 16 March: Talks on the proposed gas pipeline project (IPI) between Iran, Pakistan and India ended in Tehran Thursday [16 March]. The participants agreed to hold next round of negotiations in Islamabad on 30 April.
Matters relating to price of gas and the framework of the project to provide gas pipeline to India via Pakistan came under discussion, PTV World reported. Pakistani and Indian officials said they needed time for consultations on Iranian proposal regarding the price of gas. The Iranian side said it would require extra six or seven months to seek a vote in the Iranian parliament and other formalities.
