Britain's Prince Charles Awarded Honorary Degree From Egyptian University

Cairo, 21 March: Al-Azhar University today, Tuesday, awarded British Crown Prince Charles an honorary doctorate during a celebration held at the university.
Al-Azhar University President Ahmad Muhammad al-Tayib handed the honorary doctorate to Prince Charles during the celebration that was attended by the Shaykh of Al-Azhar Muhammad Sayid Tantawi and Minister of Religious Endowments Hamdi Zaqzuq.
Al-Tayib expressed his appreciation for Prince Charles's views about Islam and Muslims and his exemplary efforts toward bringing civilizations closer.
The celebration was preceded by a speech given by the British crown prince entitled "Unity in faith", in which he called for reciprocal respect between religions.
