Quake strikes western Myanmar
HONG KONG (Reuters) – An earthquake with a magnitude 5.4 on
the Richter Scale struck western Myanmar, the Hong Kong
Observatory said on Friday.
The quake struck at 1727 GMT (1:27 p.m. EDT) on Thursday,
or just before midnight Myanmar time, about 230 km (140 miles)
northwest of Mandalay. It gave no further details.
