Police probing failed July bombs shut German station
August 19, 2006
BERLIN (Reuters) – Police shut down a train station in the
northern German city of Kiel on Saturday as part of an
investigation into a failed plot last month to explode bombs on
two German trains.
A spokeswoman gave no further details.
On Friday, police said they suspected that the two bombs
discovered on trains in Dortmund and Koblenz last month may
have been part of a terrorist plot designed to show anger over
the Middle East crisis.
They are looking for two male suspects caught on video
footage around the time of the discovery.
