Baghdad bomb kills eight
BAGHDAD (Reuters) – A car bomb killed eight Iraqi civilians
and wounded 38 others in northern Baghdad’s Qahira district on
Wednesday, police said.
The car bomb was detonated by remote control on the side of
a busy road during morning rush hour. A second bomb detonated
as police cordoned off the scene of the attack but it did not
cause further casualties.
Sunni insurgents fighting the Shi’ite-led Iraqi government
often attack crowded streets.
