Palestinian Militant Killed in West Bank

NABLUS, West Bank – Israeli troops shot and killed a Palestinian militant during a fierce gunbattle Sunday in a West Bank refugee camp, a Palestinian militant group said.
Osama Talad, 21, participated in an ambush on Israeli troops operating in the Balata refugee camp, near the West Bank city of Nablus, said Nasser Abu Ali, a leader of the militant Al Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades.
The army confirmed a gunbattle erupted between soldiers and militants in the refugee camp. Talad was killed and six other militants were wounded, Abu Ali said.
