AMMAN, Feb. 26 (Xinhua) — Iraqi ambassador to Jordan, Saad al- Hayyani, said on Monday that Iraqi President Jalal Talabani who arrived in Jordan late Sunday for medical treatment after falling ill from hard work, is now “in stable condition”.
The ambassador said that Talabani have had medical tests to determine the cause of his illness and that there will be no need for him to be transferred to the U.S. or anywhere else for treatment.
Talabani felt ill on Saturday while attending a conference in Suleimaniyah, Iraqi Kurdistan. He was then flown to Jordan on a U. S. plan for extensive examination.
According to a statement issued by Talabani’s office, “the first results showed his condition is stable and there’s no reason to worry”.
