BRITAIN: Prince Hits Out at Fast Food Chain

FAST food chain McDonald’s said it was disappointed to be criticised by the Prince of Wales yesterday, after he appeared to suggest banning its food was the “key” to improving diet and fitness.
Charles was touring the Imperial College London Diabetes Centre in Abu Dhabi, as he attended the launch of a public health awareness campaign in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
But as he was told about initiatives to improve diet, he asked nutritionist Nadine Tayara from the centre: “Have you got anywhere with McDonald’s? Have you tried getting it banned? That’s the key.”
