SEVILLE, Spain - A man known for breaching security at sports events in Spain ran on the court during the Davis Cup final match between Andy Roddick and Carlos Moya on Sunday.
In the third set, the man made it on court carrying what appeared to be a wooden paddle and a red hat, called a "barretina." He ran over to Moya and put the hat on the player's head, before security chased down the intruder and pulled him away.
"I was scared and saw some guy running on the court with a wooden bat, or whatever it was," said Roddick, whose three-set loss to Moya allowed Spain to clinch the Davis Cup title. "My heart jumped when I first saw it."
