Russia Hails the Enema
June 20, 2008
A MONUMENT to the enema has been unveiled at a spa in a Russian city.
A pounds 21,000 bronze syringe bulb, weighing 800lbs and held by three angels, was unveiled at the Mask-Akva Term spa in the Caucasus Mountains.
Spokesman Alexander Kharchenko said: “There is no kitsch or obscenity. It is a successful work of art.
“An enema is almost a symbol of our region.”
The area has dozens of spas where enemas with water from mineral springs help treat complaints.
