Police Minister Quits Over Dirty Dancing

Officials in Australia say New South Wales Police Minister Matt Brown has resigned after admitting he danced on his office sofa wearing only his underpants.
Brown quit on Wednesday after only three days on the job, The Australian reported Thursday.
Brown initially denied allegations he performed a lewd dance in "very brief" undies on a green leather sofa in his office during a party in which alcohol was served, the Australian said.
The incident allegedly occurred three months ago during a late night party at State Parliament offices in Sydney when Brown was minister of tourism, the Australian Broadcasting Corp. reported.
New South Wales Premier Nathan Rees said he confronted Brown Tuesday night saying, "There are too many reports of you in your underwear for me to ignore."
Rees said he would have supported Brown staying in the police minister's job if Brown had not repeatedly lied about the incident, the Australian said.
