Intertwined trees become Christmas pudding

Posted on: Thursday, 18 December 2008, 21:48 CST

An English couple said they have decorated a pair of trees in their front yard to resemble a gigantic Christmas pudding.

Rodger and Val Holley said they used an old tire, three large holly leaves and red-painted toilet cistern ball floats to transform the two intertwined conifers in their Yeovil front yard into a decoration resembling an enormous dessert, The Sun reported Thursday.

I just thought with the trees how they were, why don't we make a big Christmas pudding. We have done it most years for the last four or five years but have done it slightly differently each time, Rodger Holley said. "The cream is always the biggest problem and we need more suggestions how to do it for next year.

This year it is sprayed on with diluted emulsion and it is by far the longest bit to do, he said.
