Bundled up bank robber strikes again
Police in the Long Island suburbs of New York City say a woman who robbed two banks last winter is back at work, using heavy winter clothing for a disguise.
One surveillance photo shows the bandit who robbed a Capital One branch in East Meadow Tuesday wearing a heavy coat, gloves and two scarves, one covering her hair and the other the lower part of her face, Newsday reported Friday. She also wore dark glasses.
Police in Nassau County say she also used the same routine as last winter, going to a teller with a deposit slip and a note demanding money, getting them back with the cash and then leaving the bank. She apparently walks away without being spotted getting into a car or other vehicle.
The same woman is believed to have robbed a bank in Levittown in January and another in East Massapequa in February.
