‘Lost’ sea lion discovered at airport

A manager at California's Oakland International Airport says a sea lion that approached the hub's runway has been taken to an animal sanctuary.

The airport operations manager, who asked not to be identified, said the 6-foot-long male sea lion was taken Wednesday to the Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito, Calif., after it was found approaching the west end of the airport's main runway, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

The manager said the animal seemed confused.

He seemed kind of lost and it was kind of odd, the way he was looking at us, the manager said.
