Nomads gather in Morocco
Organizers of the sixth International Festival of Nomads in Morocco said people are traveling from around the world to attend the festival.
Nour Eddin Bughrab, chairman of the Association of Nomads, said nomads from the United States, India, Cameron, Angola, Algeria, Switzerland, Croatia, France, Spain and other nations are expected to attend the four-day festival, which begins Friday, KUNA, the Kuwait news agency, reported Friday.
Bughrab said the festival is aimed at discussing methods of preserving the privacy enjoyed by practitioners of nomadic and desert culture. He said events including sports, art and music will be organized on the sidelines of the convention.
The organizer said this year’s festival is expected to attract a large international feminist presence.
