Police: Man threw McGriddle at worker
Police in central Illinois said they were called to a McDonald’s eatery after a customer allegedly threw a breakfast sandwich at an employee.
Investigators said the man pulled up to the drive-through window of the Peoria McDonald’s at about 5:20 a.m. Saturday and complained that his McGriddle sandwich did not contain any egg, the Peoria Journal Star reported Tuesday.
The 38-year-old employee said she told the man that his order would be corrected, but he became angry when a customer behind him honked a car horn and he threw the hot sandwich at the employee.
The man drove away before officers arrived at the restaurant. Police said the employee refused medical attention.
