Cops: Man offered $69 for stolen Klondike
Police in Florida said they have arrested a man who allegedly offered a store owner $69 for a Klondike bar after he allegedly tried to leave without paying.
Investigators said the owner of the Fort Pierce Food Mart/Texaco noticed Richard Cram, 65, walking
suspiciously inside the store March 3, TCPalm.com reported.
(The owner) stopped him before he reached the door, a police report of the incident states.
Cram then removed a Klondike ice cream bar in his rear pants pocket and offered to pay $69 for it.
Police said the Klondike bar, which is priced at $1.29, appeared
Cram was charged with retail theft and violation of probation. He was taken to the St. Lucie County Jail.
