Man recognizes stolen shoes on teens
Police in Milwaukee say they have arrested two teens who were wearing stolen shoes when they were caught by the man from whom they stole the footwear.
Milwaukee police said the unidentified 29-year-old man reported having several pairs of shoes, along with some electronics, stolen from his north side home on March 9, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel said Friday.
Days later, the man ran across two teens, ages 13 and 15, and recognized the teens' footwear as his own.
After confronting the teens, whose identities also weren't reported, the young thieves fled to a home only to return with more shoes, the Journal Sentinel said.
Are these yours, too? the teens reportedly asked their pursuer during the recent incident.
Police told the Journal Sentinel the two teens confessed to the burglary, while the man was allowed to return home with his recovered footwear.
