Bystanders help recover dropped cash
A Cleveland business owner said a large pile of cash dropped by a money collector was recovered with help from strangers.
Evan Brown, owner of B&B Music & Video, said one of his money collectors tripped on the sidewalk outside the business March 11 and cash was blown all over the street by the wind, The Plain Dealer newspaper in Cleveland reported Monday.
Brown said $400 was forever gone with the wind but more than that amount — Brown didn’t specify how much money the collector originally had — was recovered with the help of strangers.
First time I ever heard that story from a collector,
he said.
Susie Porter, who lives near the business, helped pick up the money. She said she didn’t see anyone picket any of the cash.
All this money was flying everywhere,
she told the Plain Dealer. People were running around picking it up. And giving it back to him.
