Bulldog a pet representative for hotel

Chicago's hotels are going to the dogs.

At the Hotel Burnham, Dillon, a 4-year-old bulldog named serves as the hospitality site's director of pet relations, the Chicago Sun-Times reported Thursday. In addition, the Affinia Chicago hotel offers its pet guests access to a pet psychic, a pet taxi and treats created by an executive pastry chef while the James Chicago hotel provides raincoats and galoshes for its pet guests, along with a specialized room service menu.

Hotel Burnham spokeswoman Jennifer Navarro said Dillon routinely waits in the hotel's living room to offer a greeting to incoming guests, along with a snack for any pets accompanying those visitors, the Sun-Times said.

Dillon also poses for photographs with hotel guests as part of his unique role at the Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants Group site, Navarro said.

We're die-hard about our pets, the spokeswoman said of such added hospitality efforts.

The canine, whose owner is the hotel's general manager, previously held the same pet relations position at a hotel in Dallas.
