Mobile strip club ads OK in Stockholm
Strip clubs in the Swedish capital of Stockholm can post billboards on area vehicles to create mobile advertisements, Sweden's Parliament says.
Sweden's Riksdag legislative assembly rejected a proposal from politicians Sylvia Lindgren and Veronica Palm that aimed to stop Stockholm strip clubs from advertising their services on vehicles throughout the capital, The Local said Friday.
It's degrading to continually be confronted with cars whose main purpose is to drive around Stockholm's streets in the evenings -- with naked women as the focal point -- serving as advertisements for strip clubs, Lindgren and Palm wrote in their proposal, which met its end Thursday.
The Local said the strip club advertisements that can be found on Stockholm trucks and trailers routinely feature pictures of scantily clad women striking seductive poses.
