A 23-year-old Florida man's car flipped on Interstate 95, striking a nearby police patrol car, police say.
The Florida Highway Patrol said Ted M. Eugene lost control of his Mercedes while traveling on the interstate Friday, The Miami Herald reported Saturday.
Eugene allegedly told the highway patrol a driver in front of him had slammed on the brakes, forcing him to suddenly decelerate and lose control. No reason was given for the other driver's actions.
The Miami Beach resident, who suffered minor injuries, was given a reckless driving ticket, the Herald said.
The Florida Highway Patrol officer in the vehicle struck by the flipped car was not hurt.
