A pregnant woman trying to rob a Fayetteville, N.C., bank apparently changed her mind and left moneyless after receiving a call on her cell phone, police say.
Fayetteville police said in a news release that the unidentified woman was robbing the Carter Bank & Trust company Tuesday when she got a telephone call and promptly took off, The (Fayetteville, N.C.) Observer reported Wednesday.
Police said the woman, who appeared to be in her late 20s to early 30s, had been carrying a gun and a note during the attempted robbery.
