Store owner: Gun flagpole honors military

A Cloverdale, Ind., businessman said a gun-shaped flagpole flying the U.S. flag outside of his store was designed to honor members of the military and veterans.

Bill Sutherland, owner of Bill's Hardware and Flooring Store, said he saw the flagpole as a way to display his patriotism, WRTV, Indianapolis, reported Tuesday.

What states more what it takes to get our freedom than a gun? Sutherland said. It's a memorial to the ones that lost their life and now have their lives on the line for our freedom.

Sutherland said many people have come inside the store to compliment his flagpole.
