Bus driver no bomb disposal expert

A school bus driver in Hempstead, N.Y., decided to personally deliver two pipe bombs she found to police rather than wait for help, sources say.
Sources said the unidentified bus driver found the apparent pipe bombs in her Hempstead home's driveway Friday and instead of waiting for police, chose to deliver the devices to them in her school bus, the New York Post reported Sunday.
Unnamed sources said the woman wrapped the possible explosives in blankets before tossing them into her empty bus and heading to the nearest police station.
Along the way, she contacted authorities to explain her unusual situation and was told to pull her school bus over immediately, the sources said.
Bomb squad experts soon arrived and were able to collect the suspected pipe bombs without incident.
The Post said while the female bus driver will not face criminal charges over the incident, her employer appeared less than enthused by her actions.
It's unacceptable in every possible way,
an Atlantic Express spokeswoman said. She will not be driving for this company again.
