Board: Mannequin can stay only if clothed
An Ohio restaurateur said he plans to appeal a zoning board's ruling that ordered him to fully clothe a bikini-clad mannequin perched outside of his business.
Kenny Tessel said his business, K.T.'s Barbecue in Reading,
was down over 40 percent a few weeks ago until he purchased the busty mannequin for $200 and started placing her on the sidewalk outside of the eatery during business hours, WLWT-TV, Cincinnati reported Thursday.
She's done it. She has actually made people stop. I know it's crazy and it's hard to believe,Tessel said of the mannequin, which he dubbed
Bar Be Q.
However, some neighbors complained about the mannequin and its sparse clothing, a bikini top and a short skirt.
The Reading zoning panel ruled Wednesday night that Tessel can continue to use the mannequin outside of his store, but he must cover the dummy's entire bosom.
Tessel said he plans to appeal the decision and has no plans to give Bar Be Q a shirt.
