New driver crashes into Taco Bell
Police in Connecticut said a new driver crashed into a Taco Bell restaurant directly under the
Drive-Thru Open sign.
Sgt. Sandy Ficara said the 20-year-old driver, who just recently received his driver's license, became impatient while waiting in the drive-through lane of the Hartford eatery and decided to park his car instead, the Hartford Courant reported Thursday.
Ficara said the driver accidentally pressed the accelerator instead of the brake pedal and the BMW rolled forward through a large window and into the restaurant. He said the car missed a patron sitting two tables away and no injuries were reported.
The driver was not arrested.
