The South Carolina Education lottery says time is running out to cash in an unclaimed $800,000 ticket from a drawing six months ago.
The lottery said a MegaMatch 6SM ticket purchased at KMO #102 in Belton for the Jan. 2 drawing is worth $800,000, but the prize will expire if it is not claimed by July 1.
Officials said in a release that the winning ticket -- which bears the numbers 4, 7, 17, 18, 25 and 28 -- must be presented in person at a South Carolina Education Lottery Claims Center before 4 p.m. on the deadline date.
The officials said that if the money is not claimed, it will go into the Unclaimed Prize Fund, which the state's General Assembly uses to supplement education funds.
