18 bushes stolen from office building
The owner of a Virginia office building said someone has stolen 18 bushes planted along the front and side of the building.
Dan Holly, owner of the Suffolk, Va., office building, said the first 11 bushes went missing more than a week ago and building managers noticed the remaining shrubs were gone Monday morning, The (Norfolk) Virginian-Pilot reported Wednesday.
For somebody to steal bushes out of the ground? Come on, y’all. That’s ridiculous, Holly said Tuesday.
Holly said he is offering $1,000 for information leading to the capture and conviction of the culprits behind the disappearance of the bushes, Old English boxwoods that were planted in the spring.
It’s the principle. We’ve got a principle here, he said.
If they had wanted them, they could have come and asked me, and I could have told them where to go.
Holly said he has asked the nursery to set aside 18 replacement boxwoods.
