British couple wed at 12:34:56 on 07/08/09
A British couple said their Friday wedding — a date listed in Britain as 07/08/09 — will coincide with the time reading 12:34:56.
Katie Barfoot, 26, and Troy Peters, 27, of Orton Longueville, England, said their wedding, scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Friday, will mark the last time a date and time reading lines up in a similar numeric fashion until Aug. 7, 3009, The Daily Telegraph reported Friday.
When we were booking the wedding day, I knew it would have to be during the school holidays so we could take the children on the honeymoon, Barfoot said. “I wanted it to be an easy date for Troy to remember so he wouldn’t forget our anniversary in years to come. It was only recently that we started getting these chain text messages saying Friday was a particularly special day because the time and date will read 123456789.
We thought nothing of it until someone pointed out that we are getting married at 12.30pm, so the numerical wonder will take place during our wedding, she said.
We have looked on the Internet and they say it won’t happen again for another 1,000 years, so that is pretty special.
