Groom jailed after bachelor party brawl

Police in Spokane, Wash., say a bachelor party brawl resulted in the groom-to-be and two friends being carted away to jail.

Sgt. Dave Reagan, a spokesman for the Spokane County Sheriff's Office, said the early Sunday incident began when a bachelor party guest, Shad Armstrong, 22, allegedly began jumping up and down on a car in the parking lot at Goodtymes Pub, which was hosting the party, the Spokane Spokesman-Review reported Tuesday.

A fight broke out and multiple police officers were called in after a sheriff's deputy who tried to stop the fight was repeatedly shoved by the combatants.

Armstrong, Kershawn Grigsby, 24, and the groom-to-be, Brandon Peterson, 27, were arrested on charges of third-degree assault on law enforcement and intimidation of a public servant. Armstrong was also charged with a count of malicious mischief. The three were taken to the Spokane County Jail.

The deputy and two others involved in the fight were taken to hospitals to receive treatment for bruises and scrapes.
