Police: Man ate at store without paying
Police in North Dakota say they arrested an intoxicated man spotted eating food in a grocery store without paying for it.
Bismarck Police Lt. Randy Ziegler said the 38-year-old man took cake, cookies, avocados, pistachios and plums off store shelves at Cashwise Foodsin the early hours of Tuesday, went to a table in the deli section and started chowing down, The Bismarck Tribune reported Wednesday.
Ziegler said police were called to the scene at 2:43 a.m. and the intoxicated man told them he had no money and did not know how he would pay for the items.
Police said the man was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor theft.
