More than 150 snorkel Wales bog
Organizers of the annual World Bog Snorkeling Championship in Wales said more than 150 people turned out to brave a pair of 60-yard trenches.
Gordon Green, 74, the mastermind behind the Llanwrtyd Wells, Wales, event, said more than 150 people donned flippers, masks and snorkels Monday to make their way through the bog, The Sun reported Tuesday.
You have to swim but actually that takes the form of a doggy paddle in a snorkel, mask and flippers, said Green's wife, Diana, 66, who was among the hundreds of spectators.
Some people also wear a wet suit but Gordon was more macho and decided against that. He did it in about five minutes, she said.
No word on who won.
