’78 Mini holds up well by not being driven
A British car enthusiast says the red 1978 Mini he bought 20 years ago is in such mint condition even the oil in the crankcase is original.
Frost purchased the car in 1989 and drove it straight to his private museum where it has stayed put except for a few brief trips to nearby car rallies.
She's only been washed twice, said Ron Frost of Tiverton, who also reported the vehicle has only 148 miles on it.
The Daily Mail reported Wednesday the car was built to commemorate the car maker's 30th anniversary and is estimated to be worth a little more than what Frost paid for it.
