Police corral escaped bull with Tasers
Utah authorities said police used Tasers to keep a runaway bull under control until its owner could load it into a trailer.
South Jordan, Utah., police Lt. Dan Starks said neighbors attempted to help the owner recapture the bull when it escaped Wednesday and one of the volunteers, an 80-year-old man, was knocked to the ground by the animal, The Salt Lake Tribune reported Thursday.
Starks said police arrived and used Taser stun guns to keep the bull from harming anyone else until its owner could coax it into a trailer.
The 80-year-old man suffered cuts and a small amount of bleeding. He was taken to the Jordan Valley Medical Center as a precaution, Starks said.
