Lego house even has working shower
British TV host James May says he built the world's first full-size home made of Lego building blocks and is now facing its likely destruction.
Top Gear co-host said he and nearly 1,000 volunteers constructed a two-story home in the British county of Surrey made of 3.3 million Lego bricks, but they have been unable to find anyone to assume ownership of the rare home, The Daily Mail said Sunday.
Now May is facing a Tuesday deadline to find an owner of the toy home, which comes equipped with a working shower and toilet, or witness its demolition.
I'm very unhappy about it. I feel as if I'm having my arm twisted into saying 'knock it down,' May told the Daily Mail.
Knocking it down is just wrong on every level. It's a really lovely thing -- it would break the hearts of the 1,000 people who worked like dogs to build it, he added.
